    What are the outstanding achievements that the unit has achieved in the past 20 years of development?

    Tri Tin Company Limited is very pleased to be the first enterprise in Vietnam to successfully cultivate "Commercial Sea Grapes" since 2004 in abandoned shrimp ponds in Ninh Hai Ward, Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province. It took 02 years later (2006) for the company's first batch of sea grapes to be exported to the Japanese market with the words "Made in Vietnam". In 2007, Tri Tin Company's sea grape growing model received an encouragement award at the 9th National Technical Innovation Competition (VIFOTEC) in Hanoi.

    Looking back on the development journey of the past 20 years, Tri Tin Company has had to overcome many difficulties. From a small, little-known enterprise, Tri Tin Sea Grapes brand has now been known by many people domestically and internationally. Becoming a prestigious brand in the market, chosen and trusted by customers, and currently Tri Tin Company is one of the few enterprises with the largest direct export output of sea grapes through official channels in the country. Contributing to bringing foreign currency to the country (although not large, it is very encouraging). Not only that, the development of the company has also contributed to creating a new industry: the profession of growing, harvesting and processing sea grapes, contributing to solving employment and increasing income for coastal communities, especially female workers. And more importantly, it has contributed to awakening the attention of many people in society about the economic value and important significance of the seaweed industry in social life and the environment. Specifically, the development of seaweed will contribute to cleaning and protecting the environment, reducing the amount of greenhouse gases in the natural environment.

    An expected achievement, Tri Tin is the first enterprise with products from Khanh Hoa province to be proposed for 5-star Ocop recognition.

    In 2023, Tri Tin Company participated in the OCOP program of Khanh Hoa Province with two products and both were highly appreciated by the OCOP Selection Council of the Province. It is worth mentioning that the product "Tri Tin Dehydrated Sea Grapes" scored 97 points. It is the only and first product of Khanh Hoa Province to achieve a 5-star rating as of 2023. Khanh Hoa Province has submitted a dossier to the Central OCOP Council for consideration and recognition. Along with that, Tri Tin's product "Roasted Puffed Seaweed Snack" was ranked 4 stars by Khanh Hoa Province.

    This is achieved because the company always seriously, correctly and fully implements the criteria of the OCOP program. In particular, each of the above products is confident in meeting many criteria such as: Quality and nutritional value of the product; Food hygiene and safety criteria; Environmental protection issues; Having a good and stable consumer market; Demonstrating transparency, honesty and clarity; Complying with legal regulations and being responsible to the community and the environment. Thanks to doing well the above factors, the company's products are currently not only consumed in the domestic market, but also exported directly to many countries around the world such as: Japan, the United States, Korea, Taiwan, China, Canada and Singapore. 

    How does Tri Tin focus on food safety and hygiene?

    To achieve high quality, a product must be taken care of and implemented well throughout the entire process from: planting, harvesting, processing, packaging, preservation and transportation to consumers. The water source for cultivation is extremely important and has the first decisive factor, because sea grapes have very strong absorption properties. Therefore, right from the first step, we focused on surveying and selecting to determine the growing area by taking water and soil samples to test for microorganisms and toxic heavy metals, and must meet the requirements according to state regulations. The chosen growing area must be far from river mouths, streams, residential areas, industrial zones and other sources of potential pollution...

    - During the farming process, we always strictly take water, bottom and product samples for periodic testing (or sudden testing if there are any unusual signs) in accordance with the quality management plan according to the HACCP system that the company is applying. 

    - The water source used for product processing in the factory must be sterilized by ultraviolet (UV) rays and ozone aeration equipment (O3). 

    - The factory and processing equipment as well as direct production workers must be trained in food hygiene and safety knowledge, have regular health check-ups and strictly follow the regulations of the HACCP system.

    Thanks to that, Tri Tin company's products always meet food safety standards and quality certifications such as: HACCP, HALAL, FDA and code TS 611 according to regulations.

    To promptly grasp the opportunities ahead, what new products will Tri Tin introduce, with the same quality?

    I am very optimistic about the seaweed market in Khanh Hoa Province and Vietnam today. It can be seen that the development potential is still very open because the sea surface area of ​​our country is very large and the market demand is increasing because the actual values ​​of seaweed for humans and society are being discovered and applied by scientists in many fields. However, we should not be subjective, because along with that development, we will also face competition from some countries with advantages in the sea such as: Indonesia, Philippines, China ...

    To stand firm in the industry as well as take advantage of new opportunities, we will focus on approaching and applying science and technology to the production and business activities of the seaweed industry to improve the quality and productivity of specific products such as: Improving techniques and methods of seaweed cultivation; Searching and developing new seaweed species with high economic value, large and stable market demand; Especially promoting post-harvest processing activities to diversify and increase the value of products.

    Currently, Tri Tin is developing a plan to develop other seaweed species in the near future, in addition to sea grapes, such as: Kappaphycus sp, Porphyra sp and Asparagopsis, and especially promoting the post-harvest processing sector to create new products of high value. At the same time, Tri Tin strives to become a green enterprise according to the three pillars of ESG (Environment, Society and Governance) towards sustainable development.

    When we started building the Tri Tin brand, we brought with us all our love and respect for the sea. Now Tri Tin is not just a brand, but also a symbol of quality and trust. Each seaweed product of the company is not only a dish but also the pride of the homeland. Each Tri Tin product is created with the preservation of natural resources, ensuring that every step in the production process is environmentally friendly.
