Introduction to Tri Tin - Company's operations
I. START UP:
Tri Tin Company Limited was established in 2002. Currently, it specializes in cultivating, processing and trading Sea Grapes in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam.
Sea Grapes has the scientific name: Caulerpa Lentillifera. The Japanese often call it UMIBUDO (Sea Grapes), or GREEN CAVIAR (Green Caviar). This seaweed species only lives and grows in warm sea areas, with high temperature and salinity conditions (temperature from 25°c to 28°c, salinity from 30/1000 to 35/1000).
Since 2004, with a source of 200gr seaweed seeds from OKINAWA of Japan, TRI TIN Company Limited is the first unit in Vietnam to successfully propagate and grow "Commercial Sea Grapes" in shrimp farming ponds in the Hon Khoi sea area - Ninh Hai Ward - Ninh Hoa Town - Khanh Hoa Province.
Through many ups and downs and many strict inspections by Japanese customers. In 2006, the first batch of Sea Grapes products of Tri Tin Company Limited was exported to Japan with "Made in Vietnam" and was highly appreciated by Japanese customers in terms of quality.
In 2007: Received the 9th National Science and Technology Innovation Award (VIFOTEC) "Growing sea grapes using the method of placing floors with nets". Since then, many media agencies have reported on the news, gradually more people know about it and the number of customers increases.
II. IMPROVING PRODUCT QUALITY
In 2008, with the support of GCF (enhancing competitiveness for small and medium enterprises - Danish government), Tri Tin Company Limited invested to upgrade the Company's farming and processing facilities. Ambassador Mr. Peter & Project Director Mr. Ready personally visited and worked at the facility. Since then, the company has built a quality management system according to HACCP standards (QMS - Australia), organized training for workers to ensure that the Products meet food hygiene and safety standards according to International standards.
And in 2009, Tritin Company Limited's Sea Grapes production facility was granted Australian HACCP certification according to International standards.
By 2011, the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Quality Management under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development inspected the Company's Production Facility and granted a Certificate of Class A Standards. Qualified to export Tri Tin Company's Sea Grapes products to countries around the world.
Opening up a new opportunity for the development of the company as well as Vietnamese sea grape products.
III. ACTIVITIES TO EXPAND MARKET AND INVEST IN EXPANDING PRODUCTION FACILITIES
Since 2012: Actively participate in fairs, exhibitions, seminars, events connecting domestic and foreign supply and demand, etc. Invest in expanding planting areas to increase output.
Since 2015: Actively expand foreign market exploitation activities to boost exports through the help of the trade office system of our embassies in other countries.
Conduct direct trips to promote products and introduce directly to foreign customers. Attend events to survey, connect and research foreign markets.
Thanks to the above push. The product "Tri Tin Sea Grapes" has been flown to many countries around the world and is trusted by consumers. Good news spreads far and wide. In 2017, the Directorate of Fisheries coordinated with the Vietnam Sea Breeding Association and the support of JICA (Japan) to organize an International Conference on Seaweed in Nha Trang City. Tri Tin Company was honored to participate in the report at the Conference and more importantly, to welcome a delegation of domestic and foreign scientists to visit and give comments at the Company's Sea Grapes Growing and Processing Facility. Thanks to the sincere exchange and comments of domestic and foreign scientists on Sea Grapes. Tri Tin Sea Grapes products have improved their quality to meet international standards, and have been trusted, chosen and used continuously by consumers in the most demanding markets such as Japan, Korea, the United States, ... until now.
IV. INVESTMENT IN SCIENCE – TECHNOLOGY AND BUILDING COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS.
Since 2017. Expanding cooperation with scientists, institutes and scientific research agencies – Innovating technical processes and technologies in farming according to the High-tech model, to increase productivity and product quality.
Expanding the farming objects (Some seaweed species have high economic value). Especially the post-harvest processing field to produce final products to increase product value.
Converting the production model from self-growing to people growing and supplying back to the company. Building a linkage model in production between enterprises and the community, to ensure the stability of output and quality of products according to plan.
Ensuring sustainable economic development and environmental protection.
